Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs Book

Of course, I didn't leave the boutique empty handed.  No...I didn't buy the Suship. I bought an infinitely cheaper but well worth it book to ad to my Vuitton Collection - The Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs companion book to the exhibit.  Actually, this has been on hold for me for a couple of weeks now but I just haven't found the time to pick it up until today.  And boy was I surprised because the cover/s were in itself a delight.  First you have the outer packaging which has a dot drawing of both Vuitton and Jacobs.  Then you open it to a cut out sleeve of the book's title.  From there you could already see the gold foil peeping through.  As you slide it out from its case, you are blinded by the gold hardcover.  I scanned a few pages and I fell head over heels in LVoe with this particular photo of Marc which instantly made this my favourite of all Vuitton publications to date. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton LVook-See

Ahhhh...the beauty of having a local Louis Vuitton boutique is that you can see the windows as it changes from season to season.  This Spring, the display had a 'Hunger Games' theme to my eyes.  A multitude of feathered arrows seem to target the bag within.  The illusion is spectacular especially from a distance as the colours seem to pulsate before you.
I didn't have much a LVook-see because my SA was already ending her shift and I didn't want to linger.  On the table, they had two Monogram Desire Lockits.  The nylon jacquard didn't do much for me but the lining was impressive.  It's a collector piece most definitely but not something that you can use everyday.  Next to it was the Denim Beach tote which was fabulous due to the combination of the fabric and suede trimmings.
Encased in glass was the Monogram Denim Pochette Round and a Monogram Bouclettes (not shown) which was totally high up on the shelf. I really didn't pay attention to them because I had my eye on the...
....Suship.  Crafted out of the most buttery, soft leather, it was too precious to even play around with.  The silver locking mechanism was a nice touch and how the bag opens up.  The lining is so luxurious.  This bag is strictly a NO PENS or PENCILS bag.  It was amazing and I did stick my head into it to take a whiff of that new leather smell.  Simply LVoe, LVoe, LVoe!!!

From Malaysia with LVoe

Hi! Just wanted to share with you the display cabinet I built for my collection and some of the bags already placed in them. Still room for a few more! Hope you like 'em.

Louis Vuitton Neuf Icones: The Wardrobe, 1875

The Wardrobe, designed in 1875, remains perhaps as one of the most emblematic of Louis Vuitton creations.  It opens vertically to reveal a fully equipped hanging closet within. This spares the weary travelers of that time the additional chore of unpacking.  I wanted to feature Nine Icons by Louis Vuitton so that we can better appreciate its rich history.  So I invite you to join me in the next few weeks as we travel back in time through photographs to celebrate the works of this much celebrated malletier.  LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Avalon

Nothing beats a shiny red bag!  So the Avalon, one of the latest in the Vernis Collection, get's my vote as this season's hottest arm candy. The GM ($1530) comes in Rouge Fauviste, Amarante and Rouge Grenadine (as shown).  The MM ($1300) comes also in all three colours plus Blanc Corail.
For those who are all about security, a zippered version of the Avalon is available at $1690.  Currently, it  only comes in Rouge Fauviste and Amarante.

From Julia with LVoe

Julia always sends me the best photos of anything interesting that she comes by at Vuitton.  Her latest, a breathtakingly beautiful Keepall in shiny crocodile just sitting on top of a table.  Luxury at its best, Vuitton at its finest. Thank you Julia for making my day.  LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Epi Rainbow Wallets

It was already exciting enough that  Epi had acquired more colours in the collection.  For tricolour combinations to appear in both bags and small leather goods is truly magic come to LVife.

Louis Vuitton La Haute Maroquinerie Collection

La Haute Maroquinerie, a line that truly highlights Louis Vuitton's savoir-faire is an amazing collection of bags wherein you can choose colours, skins, lining etc...to arrive at your dream LV bag.  Only privy to a few since as far as I know Milan and Syndey are the two Maisons that currently have the Salon that offers this service.  LVckily, we have Nix from Melbourne who so graciously shared his experience with us through photos as he picks out his super exclusive bag.  Six months to make, we will be eagerly awaiting your reveal, Nix.  (I already know what he special ordered but I think I will keep it a secret.) Thanks for sharing.  LVoe it!!!

LV Blast from the Past: Monogram Denim Patchwork Cabby

2007 was the year that I fell In LVoe with Louis Vuitton.  My 5th anniversary as a blogger is coming up soon and I feel a special affinity every time I see a bag from that season.  Featured here is the Monogram Denim Cabby Tote.  I know it's a bit much to take at first glance but I can see the eccentricity of the designer.  It's as if a fragment of Marc Jacob's genius was captured in the bags that came out of that runway.
I can't believe the state that this bag is in.  The vache leather is still bright and crisp.  The denim immaculate.  I really appreciate excellent photography.  It's a true art form.  And of course, who can forget the explosion of flowers inside the Patchwork collection?  This very rare and limited release bag is available from Plane Janes Luxury Boutique. Click here for the link. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Mahina Collection Selene

Removable chocolate coloured handles!  I LVoe this feature for the newest of the Mahina Line, the Selene.  Soft pleats does not take away the practicality of this city bag.  It comes with a cute pochette both in PM and MM size.  The colours are Sandy, Black and Lagon (shown here).  Priced at $3350 and $3750 according to size.  LVoe it!!!

From Sara with LVoe

Considered by Sara as one of her LV must-haves, the Hide & Seek bracelet from Vuitton's silver fashion jewelry is indeed one of those precious keepsakes.  She had to drive 2 1/2 hours to get one of these and arrived at the LV boutique only to find out that they sold it (even though she called 3x to confirm that it was on hold for her...tsk, tsk, tsk).  But nothing comes in the way of 'saraloveslouis' when she wants to add something to her collection.  Thanks for sending the photo in, S.  Congratz and LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Sofia Bag and Celebrities

I have been meaning to publish this small collection of Celebrities and their SC Bags for quite some time now but haven't had the prompting until I saw the Croc one yesterday.  Please enjoy and to all you SC Bag owners, you are one LVcky crowd!  LVoe it!!!
